HELPFUL HINTS ON PURCHASING A HOME We haven't seen any courses offered for home buyers, so we decided to put together a basic outline of what our experiences have taught us about successful and profitable house hunting.
At Inman Realty you will be supported by someone who has had years of experience working only with buyers and has developed the highly specialized knowledge required to service the particular needs of a buyer. In order to take full advantage of our expertise you need to have an initial interview at our office so we may fully understand all your needs and requirements and you can see all the tools we have available to help you in your search. The following list of questions should be considered prior to our first meeting. The concept is, if you don't describe what you want, we can't find it for you ... So please take the time to give some thought to these questions. Jotting the answers on a piece of paper will be particularly helpful. Please think about the specific requirements you have for your new home including style, setting or general environment, amount of land or type of property, number of bedrooms, baths, etc. Do you have any interests that require special space in the home? Is moving to a specific community you are interested in? What are your reasons for moving and when would you like to move? We will use all of this information in culling through the universe of properties currently on the market to see that you are made aware of everything that meets your description and that your time will not be wasted looking at homes that are not appropriate. As new properties come on the market we will send you information on the right ones immediately. Once we find the home that you want, paying attention to details becomes more important than ever. Vast knowledge and expertise is essential in the preparation of a workable contract, arranging for inspections, processing of financing, conveyancing, making sure that you get good value in your purchase and overseeing that everything goes smoothly all the way through your moving day.
A word or two of caution is appropriate at this point. Our clients inevitably find our service to be superior to what is commonly available and are greatly disappointed when industry protocol causes them to work with someone from another office. Industry protocol dictates that the person who first shows you a property is the only person who may work with you on that property. So if you see a sign, read an ad or see an open house sign, call us first so that you can have the most professional help possible.
